Our obedience classes focus on building a strong relationship between you and your dog based on leadership, trust and cooperation.
Socialisation, mental and physical activity are vital for the physical and mental well-being of our dogs. Our obedience classes will provide your dog a chance to make other canine friends and learn how to behave politely in today's society. This is one of the best things you can do for your dog. Through activities and classes we can teach our dogs how we want them to behave around us, for a more enjoyable life together. The trust they establish with you will allow them to interact positively with the community.
As a registered club with Dogswest we run training classes for all breeds of dogs from 13 weeks of age and older. We teach you to alter your dog’s behaviour by using a system of reinforcements. The most common reinforcements used are food and toys. Any activity that your dog enjoys can be used as a form of reinforcement. Remember to bring your dog’s favourite toy along. Our obedience classes are held in Victoria Park on a Wednesday night starting at 7.15pm at Raphael Park For further information and to join the club Click here.
